Sid founded Lorio Wealth Management after flying for Braniff and still sets much of the firm's planning discipline.

He lives in Southlake, Texas with his wife, Gloria, and keeps the office focused on preparation, plain explanations, and long client relationships.

Gloria has been part of the firm from the beginning and brings a steady planning and client service presence to the office.

She joined the firm full time in 1989 and became a CFP practitioner in 1994.

Steven brings retirement plan work into the family practice, with experience serving both families and plan sponsors.

He founded Rethin(k) 401(k) and joined Lorio Wealth Management after serving clients at Fidelity Investments.

David Lorio

David Lorio

CFP Practitioner, CRPS

David adds compliance experience, retirement plan credentials, and a practical planning perspective for younger families.

He joined Lorio Wealth Management in 2018 and became a CFP practitioner later that year.

Sid Lorio started the firm in 1980. Today, Sid, Gloria, Steven, and David work from the same office on private wealth planning, retirement plan guidance, and the day-to-day questions families bring to people they trust.

Our story

Captain Sid Lorio

Before Lorio Wealth Management, Sid flew for Braniff. When that chapter changed without warning, he carried the habits of a pilot into financial planning: prepare carefully, stay calm, and keep moving when the route changes.

    Sid enters financial services

    After being furloughed from his dream job as a captain at Braniff International Airways, Sid joined A.L. Williams on December 11, 1980.

    Securities licensing begins

    Sid joined Anchor National Financial Services, Inc. on December 18, 1981, beginning the securities licensing path that later included the Series 7.

    Sid becomes a CFP professional

    Sid passed the CFP exam and became a CFP professional on July 24, 1987.

    Gloria joins full time

    After helping from the beginning, Gloria officially joined Lorio Wealth Management full time on September 1, 1989.

    Move to LPL Financial

    Sid and Gloria joined Linsco Private Ledger, now LPL Financial, on December 7, 1994.

    Gloria becomes a CFP professional

    Gloria passed the CFP exam and became a CFP professional on the same day the firm moved to LPL.

    A new building for the firm
